Addressing the Challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 through the Intel Skill for Innovation (SFI) Program

Indonesia's entry into the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has brought with it an increased need for a skilled workforce that meets industry demands. However, one of the main challenges faced is the country's low digital literacy rate. Currently, technology utilization in education has only reached around 20% .

The skills of educators in integrating technology into the learning process remains an obstacle, even though they have received various training from the education office, courses, and independent learning.

Intel's support through the Skills for Innovation (SFI) Program

In 2023, Intel Corporation committed to supporting the Axioo Class Program (ACP) through the Axioo-Intel Skill for Innovation (SFI) program .

This program aims to encourage digital school transformation by focusing on improving the capacity of educators through training, certification , and digital teaching materials grants . SFI has two main pillars:

TEACHER TRAINING & CERTIFICATION (Intel Professional Development Training)

Intended for teachers from early childhood education to high school/vocational school levels.

Divided into 4 levels of training.

Improving teachers' digital competencies, from basic skills to creating digital media-based learning experiences.

STEAM TEACHING CURRICULUM SYNCHRONIZATION & GRANT (SFI Starter Pack)

STEAM curriculum and teaching materials grants for elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Accompanied by training in the use of digital teaching materials.

The Skills for Innovation (SFI) program has been implemented in more than 47 countries and has successfully trained and certified more than 28,000 teachers worldwide.

Google Classroom acts as a "hub" where students can find everything they need in one place, even if they are accessing it from a mobile device

Use the Stream to post daily check-ins, mental health resources, or updates.

Simplify Feedback: Teachers can provide voice or text comments, maintaining the personal connection and building relationship

To make joining as easy as possible for students, it is best to generate a permanent Meet link directly within your Google Classroom. This link stays the same for every session, reducing the need to send out new invites daily.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open Your Class: Go to classroom.google.com and select the specific class.
Access Settings: Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
Generate Link: Scroll down to the General section. Next to Meet, click Generate Meet link.
Manage Visibility: Ensure the toggle for Visible to students is turned On. This places the link at the top of the Class Stream and Classwork pages for students to see.
Save Changes: Click Save in the top-right corner.

How do groups turn in assignments?

Each student, as part of the group, needs to complete and turn in their assignment, even if its just a portion or duplicative of the whole project. If one group member doesn't turn in, then the whole group assignment is marked as missing/incomplete. This may make it difficult for you to manage group projects, so weigh your options.

Do groups affect grades or display different in the grades tab?

No. Every student gets an individual grade for their individual submission, even if you consider it a group effort.

Do students see their student groups?

No. Only teachers and co-teachers see groups.
